TOOLOON Since 1996, TOOLOON has stood for percussion-driven Tech House, extended arcs of tension and high-energy DJ sets between Afro-House, Progressive House and Techno. Shaped by clubs, underground events and open airs across Germany, he became known especially in Munich for long, dramaturgically built sets and his distinctive groove. In Munich, as co-organizer of the “Underground Project” (UP-Team) , he helped shape the local underground scene while also gaining solid studio experience: after his Audio Engineering studies at SAE , he worked at Unicade Music on various productions, including Lou Bega’s international hit “Mambo No. 5”. At the same time, he developed into a professional sound designer and re-recording mixer for feature films, cinema trailers, commercials, streaming series and audiobooks. Musical journeys to Cuba and La Gomera, work at the ICAIC Studio in Havana and encounters with musicians from the circle of the “Buena Vista Social Club” shaped his sound between organic rhythms, electronic energy and local underground influences.
