Studio Tembo

Studio Tembo is a creative studio built by podcasters, gamers, filmmakers, and the kind of people who never learned to love a story casually. We make podcasts, live shows, short films, and original media. We're currently in pre-production on EIGHTEEN, our next short film. Tembo is Swahili for elephant, and people assume that's just a branding exercise. Something about memory, strength, or whatever's on the poster in your dentist's office, and all that is true, but elephants are also social creatures. They protect each other's young, mourn their dead, and are profoundly weird-looking animals. They are majestic and soulful, but more than any of that, they are connected. Our supporters are OUR Herd, and I know that sounds “cringe,” but this isn't about filling a tip jar. We understand how many people, brands, and things are scrambling for attention, and when you choose to spend your time with us, it means so much more than a “like and subscribe.” You are the reason we get to do the things we love, and we don't take that lightly. You are our herd. The elephant thing isn’t just fun branding either; wildlife conservation is part of who we are.  We support a variety of elephant conservation programs, the AZA (Association of Zoos and Aquariums), and local animal shelters.
