    Good news for gray whales along the West Coast πŸ‹ NOAA's newest count puts the population at about 17,750 whales, up from roughly 12,890 last year. This comes after a multi-year mortality event took a serious toll on their numbers, making this rebound a genuinely hopeful sign.
