To be fair, first they came for the copywriters with ChatGPT, then they came for the artists with image/video generation, then they came for the junior SWEs with coding agents. Coming for the Fields Medalists is pretty far down the poem, but luckily, I am not a Fields Medalist

the bitter lesson of the bitter lesson for biological data (personal lived experiences only) is that naive bitter lessoning will always be bitter 😔 (but! still a bitter lesson fan, it’s just never the flavor of bitter one expects on the first go & always some other spice
