    We are excited to announce that Janine Schoombie is our new #APECSSA chair! Janine combines #fluiddynamics, #aerodynamics, and the #subAntarctic in her PhD project at @UPTuks, studying the effect of changing winds on the flight capabilities of Grey-headed #albatrosses.

    #WorldWetlandsDay 💧creates awareness for areas that are, well, wet💧! Wetland areas help to purify water, prevent flooding, are often rich in biodiversity and are key habitats for wildlife. The Prince Edward Islands were proclaimed as the first subantarctic #Ramsar site in 2007.
