    Five years after my "Five Coins Thesis" thread, it's time to reflect. In 2020, I argued network effects would lead to ~5 major blockchains, not just Bitcoin dominance. I nailed Bitcoin and Ethereum, but the other three? Let's revisit expectations vs. reality in 2026. 馃У 1/9

    Since AI is killing the Computer Science degree are any universities looking into creating a Computer Philosophy degree? (Only half joking)

    What you need to look for are communities that cannot be fakes. The low haning fruit is retail reviews, but what about drum corp? Local recreational leagues? The only authenticity left are where third spaces with verifiable shibboleths leak online.

    Yesterday me and my friends talked about the Dead Internet Theory If nobody asks questions anymore on Stack Overflow, and sites like Reddit are now taken over by AI reply bots to promote brands, as well as AI reply bots on here, there is no real content anymore on the internet

    The model for AI risk isn't James Cameron's Terminator franchise, with an all powerful SkyNet beset on destroying humanity. It's Christopher Nolan's Memento, where the AI leaves notes for itself but is actually manipulated by outside parties to it's detriment.
