Factory One

Apex's high-rate manufacturing facility is already enabling rate production in Los Angeles, CA, with a peak annual production capacity of over 200 buses per year. By the end of 2026, Factory One will reach over 100,000 sq. ft. — unlocking additional space for bus assembly, vertical integration, future platform R&D, and end-to-end mission services.

Factory One has been meticulously designed from the ground up to revolutionize bus production and support rapid, serial satellite manufacturing. From its dedicated cell-based subassembly production floor, to its fully equipped linear integration cleanroom and 66,000-lbf vibration table, Factory One enables Apex’s talented technicians to build and test buses at record speeds.

Apex’s proprietary operating system, Octopus, integrates the full spacecraft manufacturing process — linking inventory management, production scheduling, and assembly work instructions into a single, unified environment that dynamically adjusts to evolving demand.
