Canadian Organic Growers (COG) and our partners across the Prairies co-hosted field days in Saskatchewan and Manitoba this year as part of our Regenerative Organic Oats program (ROO).
In spring 2026, COG reached an exciting milestone by bringing its RBC In-Class and On-Farm Visit Program beyond Ottawa, Ontario for the first time – expanding opportunities for children and youth across Canada to learn more about healthy food, agriculture, and the environment through hands-on experiences with local farmers.
Canadian Organic Growers (COG) attended the Canadian Federation of Agriculture’s Summer Meeting and Policy Summit in Halifax this July.

Roller crimping is a strategy that some farmers participating in COG’s Regenerative Organic Oats (ROO) program are using to terminate cover crops while reducing tillage and preserving surface residue. Learn more in this ROO Farm Story!
To round out the revision of the Canadian Organic Standards, the Organic Federation of Canada (OFC) and Canadian Organic Growers (COG) have collaborated to update the Guide to the Canadian Organic Standards.

You’re invited to a Farm Tour and Breakfast Potluck at BirdTree Urban Farm in Revelstoke, BC! BirdTree Urban Farm is a small-scale urban market garden operating on several plots of land in Revelstoke (two of which were accessed through B.C. Land Matching Program). As the owner and operator of BirdTree Urban Farm, Kristina grows annual and perennial vegetables, berries, and flowers, which she sells through the local farmers’ market, custom wedding arrangements, and seasonal flower subscriptions.
