How We Can Help
Occupational Therapy
Our Occupational Therapists help people take part in the activities that matter to them. We support sensory processing, motor skills, emotional regulation, self-care and independence, using practical strategies and tailored interventions to reduce barriers, build confidence and make daily activities more manageable.
Speech and Language Therapy
Communication shapes how we connect, learn and participate in everyday life. Our Speech and Language Therapists support speech, language, social communication and swallowing needs, helping individuals develop their skills, communicate with confidence and build meaningful connections.
SEND Advocacy
Navigating SEND support can feel complex, and you don’t need to wait until difficulties reach crisis point to ask for help. We support families to understand their options, communicate effectively with education settings and access appropriate provision, including practical guidance throughout the EHCP process where needed.
Post-Diagnostic Support
Receiving an autism or ADHD diagnosis can bring answers, but it can also raise new questions about what comes next. We help individuals and families understand the diagnosis, recognise strengths and needs, explore practical strategies and identify the support that can make a positive difference moving forward.
DLA and PIP Applications
Applying for Disability Living Allowance (DLA) or Personal Independence Payment (PIP) can feel complicated and overwhelming. We provide practical, individualised support to help you understand the application process, describe how additional needs or disabilities affect everyday life, and ensure relevant information is included. From completing forms to gathering supporting evidence, we can guide you through each stage with confidence.
Autism Spectrum Condition Assessments
Seeking an autism assessment can feel overwhelming, but we're here to guide you every step of the way. Our multidisciplinary team provides evidence-based assessments for children, young people and adults in a supportive, person-centred environment. We take time to understand each individual's experiences, providing clear outcomes, practical recommendations and ongoing support beyond diagnosis.
ADHD Assessments
Our specialist ADHD assessments provide clear answers and practical support for children, young people and adults. Using recognised diagnostic tools and clinical expertise, our experienced team delivers thorough, comprehensive assessments and personalised recommendations, helping individuals understand their unique needs and access the right support to thrive at home, in education, at work and throughout daily life.
Counselling
We provide compassionate, confidential counselling for children, young people and adults experiencing emotional, behavioural or mental health challenges. Our counsellors have experience supporting neurodivergent individuals and understand that everyone's experiences and needs are different. We offer a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space to explore thoughts and feelings, develop practical coping strategies, build resilience and support emotional wellbeing.

What Our Clients Say
A friend recommended FunctionAbility to us for my 11-year-old son, who has ADHD and complex PTSD. We needed a detailed report and were incredibly impressed, not only by how thorough it was, but by the support we received throughout. The team went above and beyond to support both our son and our family. We would 100% recommend FunctionAbility.
— Parent of an 11-year-old
We had a really positive experience with FunctionAbility. We felt listened to and understood throughout and never felt rushed. Communication was always prompt and helpful, and our questions were answered with care. We would happily recommend FunctionAbility to other families and have already passed their details on to another family.
