In an emergency, a message only helps if it actually reaches people — all of them, at once. Starting with the 2026-27 school year, Michigan schools will use standardized emergency response terminology — one common language across every building and community. At Edgewood High School of the Sacred Heart in Madison, Wisconsin, that balance is everything. Warmth is part of who they are.
