That's a wrap on Cloudflare Community Meetup #2 in Zürich! The topic: building and shipping AI apps on the Cloudflare Workers platform. Elia walked through how we built heydecks (unscripted's agentic slide deck builder) on Workers, a real end-to-end look at the platform in production rather than a demo app. Workers, Workers AI, D1, R2, Durable Objects, and where each one actually earns its place. Thanks to HeadsQuarter for having us. Fully stocked Bar, central location, and running AC was very much appreciated on a warm July evening. The best part was who is in the room. Developers, engineers and architects from across Switzerland, all building interesting things on or behind Cloudflare. Some genuinely great conversations over drinks and Pizza afterwards. We agree that no password would be best - until then 1Password is part of our everyday setup for secure logins, and it stays out of the team’s way. Still today in our daily work we see shared passwords by email, sticky notes, or chat messages. You don't need to be an expert that this sooner or later leads to security breaches. But it also leads to weak credentials, repeated logins, and no real visibility into who has access and who accessed what. We recommend using a central, strong IdP (often Microsofts EntraID) and conditional access - where passwords are still needed a password manager like 1Password is key: -> every login across every app and device -> shared team credentials with role-based access and monitoring -> autofill passwords (no more guesswork or resets) No sticky notes. No spreadsheets - no matter how small the team or "unimportant" the login. We love 1Password for its simplicity, safe architecture and features like Watchtower. -> watchtower alerts when a saved login is compromised -> access control you can revoke in one click -> organised vaults for teams and roles Result: An overall reduced attack surface and risk profile throughout the organisation - and for every employees private cybersecurity hygene. What a start for the Swiss Cloudflare User Group! 🔥 🎉 This Tuesday, the first-ever Cloudflare User Group Meetup Switzerland took place in Zurich at ORBIZ Flex Office, bringing together 30+ developers, engineers, and architects from across Switzerland who are building, scaling, and securing on the internet. Hosted by our founder and Cloudflare User Group Lead Switzerland, Azim Amini, the evening was all about exchange, technical insights, and community.
