What is SecondPix™?
SecondPix™ is a shoppable photography platform for the Second Life™ community. Browse the feed and Home hub, explore the Store Directory and hashtags, follow stores and events, and click product tags on photos to shop inworld or on the Marketplace.
Do I need a Second Life™ account?
Yes. SecondPix™ is built for Second Life™ residents and uses your Second Life™ username to log in. New to Second Life™? Create a free account at join.secondlife.com, then sign up here.
Is it free to join?
Yes. Residents and bloggers can join, upload, tag products, follow brands, and shop for free — including browsing the SecondPix™ Shopping Event. Stores, events, and magazines can create a brand profile with a free public page and dashboard too. Every store can join the weekly Shopping Event for free. Optional Pro upgrades: Blogger Pro on your personal profile (L$250/week) adds unlimited albums, full post analytics, and a Pro badge; SecondPix™ Pro per brand (your first brand may include a 30-day trial) adds blogger networks, submissions, brand analytics, and managers. No contract — pay at our in-world kiosk only when you want Pro.
I run a Second Life™ store, event, or magazine. What do I get?
A dedicated brand page on SecondPix™ with discovery feeds, product tags, and separate tabs for your portfolio vs. approved blogger photos. Stores can appear in the Store Directory; events can run rounds and gallery uploads. Every store can submit one tagged look each week to the free SecondPix™ Shopping Event. On Pro you can invite bloggers to your network, review submissions in one inbox, invite brand managers to help run the page, and see post stats and tag clicks. Your first brand may include a 30-day Pro trial; after that, Pro is billed per brand at the in-world kiosk.
How is SecondPix™ different from other platforms?
SecondPix™ is built for shoppable photography. Tags on photos link directly to inworld stores and the Second Life™ Marketplace, and discovery is organized around shopping, creators, events, magazines, and community — not just a single photo stream.
Is my account secure?
Yes. You sign in with your Second Life™ username — we do not ask for your email to join. We do not sell your data, we do not use ad or tracking cookies, and SecondPix™ is GDPR compliant. You can also set a password in Account Settings if you want an extra layer of protection.
Can I keep my photos private?
You can set each profile to Public or Private. Public (the default) lets anyone view your profile and photo pages, including visitors who are not logged in when you share your links. Private limits profile and photo pages to logged-in SecondPix™ members. Your posts will always appear in feeds and when people search for them.
Just Tag It.
Your privacy matters. No email address. No personal data. No tracking. Just your Second Life™ username. SecondPix™ is GDPR compliant and will never sell or share your information. Ever.
