Amo.ng plugin privacy notice

This notice covers Amo.ng's public ChatGPT and Codex plugin and MCP endpoint. Other Amo.ng website services, including Workplace and Build, have separate behavior described in the Amo.ng Terms of Use.

When you use the plugin, ChatGPT or another connected host sends selected search or retrieval parameters to Amo.ng's MCP endpoint. These can include a search query, filter, page number, resource identifier or collection slug. Amo.ng processes them to return current public Prompts, Workflows, Skills, Professional Packs and Topics. The interface does not require your full conversation, an Amo.ng account or a private document. Keep queries general and avoid confidential or unnecessary personal information.

The plugin returns selected public content fields: Amo IDs, titles, published Prompt versions and instructions, public Workflow steps, Skill source references, Pack materials, Topics and canonical source links. Responses also carry public pagination and protocol metadata. Account records, author/user database records, internal review evidence and private facilitator guidance are not part of the response contract.

Amo.ng and its hosting and security services process request information to deliver the service, diagnose problems, limit abuse and protect availability. Operational HTTP/access logs record the requesting IP address, time, requested endpoint, response information and user-agent. The address may belong to the host service or a proxy. The MCP application does not save successful tool-request bodies in its application logs. Its handled unexpected-error log records the exception class, without the request body or exception message. Search text still reaches Amo.ng when included in a tool request, so this service should not be understood as collecting no data.

For abuse prevention, the MCP endpoint also stores request counters and a hashed IP-based key in the server database cache. The rate-limit window is one minute; expired cache entries may remain stored until the cache removes them. This is not a promise that every record is deleted after one minute.

Operational logs are retained on the server, and log archives exist. The current application log configuration does not impose a fixed automatic deletion period. Hosting and security logs and archives follow their respective configurations; a single verified deletion period for those records is not currently established. Amo.ng does not promise immediate deletion or a fixed retention period that its current configuration does not enforce.

The plugin retrieves public resources only. It cannot publish or edit resources, retrieve private facilitator/review material, store credentials, execute provider calls or certify professional conclusions. It does not request or accept provider API keys as credentials and has no key-storage feature. Do not paste API keys into plugin conversations or search requests.

Workplace is a separate browser experience. If you choose to save a provider key there, its encrypted vault is stored locally in your browser; it is not synchronized to an Amo.ng account or saved as a server-side vault. Browser-local storage does not mean the key never leaves your browser: when you run a Workplace task, your browser sends the key and task over HTTPS to the Workplace server for transient forwarding to the selected provider. As described in the Terms, the execution application does not save those keys, task inputs or outputs in its database or application logs. The plugin does not invoke this execution flow.

Amo.ng processes plugin requests on its hosting infrastructure and returns public results to the connected host. The MCP tools do not forward requests to an AI provider for execution. OpenAI/ChatGPT processes your conversations, tool requests and returned results separately under its own terms and privacy policies. Those services and any AI provider you choose in Workplace have their own data-handling practices. Opening source links also takes you to a separate website experience.
