What is AwaAgent?
AwaAgent is a home rental platform for Nigeria. You see one first-year price on every home, inspect it in person with the agent assigned to it, and never pay a viewing fee.
Where in Nigeria does AwaAgent work?
Across Nigeria. AwaAgent is for renters, agents and landlords in every state.
Do I pay to view a house?
No. AwaAgent has no viewing fees. Never hand money to anyone at a property.
How are agents checked?
Every agent has their ID checked before they can list a home. The street address is shared only after the agent assigned to the home confirms your six-digit code in person.
What does the price cover?
It is the first-year price: the base rent plus the agent's commission and AwaAgent's 2.5% fee, shown as one amount. The commission is the agency fee, capped at 5% to 9% by the agent's trust score, and nothing is added on top. From year two you pay the base rent only.
How is my rent protected?
When rent payment opens, AwaAgent holds your payment and pays the landlord and agent only after you confirm you have the keys. Until then, do not transfer rent to anyone you met through a listing.
