Aloha and welcome to the University of Hawaiʻi West Oʻahu Disability Services for students.
Disability Services strives to ensure compliance with Title II of the Americans with Disability Act (ADA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Section 504). These federal laws and regulations are designed to prevent discrimination of individuals based on their disability. We provide reasonable accommodations for students with disabilities by engaging in the interactive process. Disability Services wants to ensure that each student has accommodations tailored to their individual needs so they can have a positive and accessible academic experience at the University of Hawaiʻi West Oʻahu.
Once your intake form and any optional supporting documentation have been reviewed, the Coordinator of Disability Support and Success, Dr. Christina Pascua-Galdiano, will contact you to schedule a meeting to discuss your request for reasonable accommodations. All meetings will either be in-person, Zoom (video conference) or by telephone.
Although it is NOT required to have supporting documentation to initiate the process of requesting for accommodations, you will be asked to submit any supporting documentation of your disability within 30 business days after our scheduled meeting. To submit the supporting documents, please upload them to https://www.hawaii.edu/filedrop/. Please use pascuac@hawaii.edu when specifying the recipient email and upload your document(s).
