I am a Postdoc at the Social Data Science and AI (SODA) Lab (PI: Frauke Kreuter) of LMU Munich. I am also an adjunct Assistant Research Professor at the Joint Program in Survey Methodology, University of Maryland, and a Junior Member of the Munich Center for Machine Learning. I completed my PhD at the SODA Lab and was also an external PhD student at the Munich AI and NLP (MaiNLP) Lab (PI: Barbara Plank).

Broadly, my research interests focus on human-centric NLP, computational social science, computational semantics & pragmatics.

Recently, I have been interested in studying how LLMs process language, understand cultures, and engage with society: from aspectual semantics (The Imperfective Paradox, ACL 2026 🏆 Best Paper Award) to generating poetry (Táng Poetry Generation and Evaluation, ACL 2026 Findings) and simulating public opinion (Algorithmic Fidelity in Generating German Public Opinions, ACL 2025).

We will be organizing two upcoming workshops: The User, Plural: 1st Workshop on Heterogeneity and Interaction in User Simulation at COLING 2027 🇲🇴, and the 5th Workshop on Cross-Cultural Considerations in NLP (C3NLP) at ACL 2027 🇯🇵.
