A support chatbot that shows where every answer came from.

It reads your website, PDFs and YouTube videos, answers your visitors around the clock, and links every answer to the sentence it came from. When it doesn't know, it says so.

Every conversation, with the passage behind each answer and a summary at the top.

Narrated, with captions. The Dyson example quotes Dyson's public support content; ChatDock isn't affiliated with Dyson.

Three steps. No code.

Start with what your customers already read: your website, your documents, your videos.

Scanned PDFs aren't read yet. Websites are read within your plan's monthly page allowance.

  1. Add what you’ve already published

Paste your website, upload PDFs, add YouTube videos or a whole channel. It reads them for you, captions and what's shown on screen included.

    • yoursite.com/pricingRead
    • yoursite.com/returnsRead
    • price-list.pdfRead
    • Product tour · 2:14Read
    • yoursite.com/aboutReading…
  2. Test it privately

Ask it real questions in a test chat only you can see. If an answer is missing, write it once and it's used from the next reply.

Test chat · only you can see this

    Do you deliver on Sundays?

I couldn't find that in your content yet.

    Write the answer

  3. Paste one line on your site

Works anywhere you can add a script: WordPress, Webflow, Wix, Shopify, Squarespace, Framer. On plans with share links, it also gets its own chat page to link from an email or a video description.

    <script defer
      src="https://chatdock.io/embed.min.js"
      data-key="your-key"></script>

    chatdock.io/d/…

When it doesn’t know, it says so.

Three things your assistant never does, shown in the widget your visitors see.

  • It won't guess.

When your content doesn't cover a question, it says so, shows no sources and offers to take the visitor's details.

  • It never pretends to be a person.

Every chat is labelled as an AI assistant answering from your site. No fake names, no fake typing.

  • It asks once, after it has helped.

It never opens with a form. Once a visitor has an answer, it asks for an email or phone number, and stops once it has one.

Every answer shows where it came from.

Your visitors see the page, PDF or video moment behind each sentence. Click a number in the answer to open it.

My V15 says the filter needs cleaning. Can I wash it?

Yes, it's washable. Remove the filter by turning it counterclockwise, then wash it with warm, running tap water. Leave it a full 24 hours to dry, in a warm place with plenty of airflow.

What you get for $29

One assistant that reads your website, PDFs and YouTube videos, 4,000 messages a month, a link to the source under every answer, an inbox of every conversation, and leads with the question that brought them. No setup fee, cancel any time.

Where they're ahead

Chatbase and SiteGPT connect to apps like Slack, WhatsApp and Messenger, and can pass a chat to a person. ChatDock doesn't do those yet. If you need them today, they're the better pick.

Competitor figures from chatbase.co/pricing and sitegpt.ai/pricing, monthly billing, read on 24 October 2026. Chatbase counts message credits; SiteGPT's figure is for its GPT-4.1-mini model. ChatDock isn't affiliated with either.

Build and test for free. Pick a plan when it goes live.

Each plan starts with a 7-day free trial on your card. Cancel any time; it stays live to the end of the period you’ve paid for.

At the message limit: Your assistant stops answering questions and tells visitors it can't answer right now. It keeps taking their details and tells them you'll get back to them. It starts again when your allowance resets at the start of your next billing period, or as soon as you upgrade. There is no overage charge. Messages are shared across all your assistants.

Questions before you start

Didn't find yours? Ask the founder directly. Book 15 minutes.

Will the assistant make up answers?

No. It answers only from the content you give it: your website pages, documents and YouTube videos. When a question isn't covered, it says so, shows no sources and offers to take the visitor's details so you can follow up. Questions it couldn't answer are listed for you, so you can write the answer once. Try it privately before it goes live.

Is it free to try?

Yes. Sign up without a card, add your website, documents and videos, and ask the assistant real questions in a private test chat. A plan is only needed to put it on your website, and each plan starts with a 7-day free trial on your card. You can cancel any time from Settings; it stays live to the end of the period you've paid for.

Why is it only $29 a month?

Because most of what an answer costs is the AI that writes it, and that has become cheap. ChatDock is a small company with no sales team, so the price follows the cost. The $29 plan answers from the same content, with the same sources under every answer and the same inbox, as the bigger plans. Those add more assistants and messages, reading what videos show on screen, and removing the ChatDock badge.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. Setup is paste, review, brand, install. The install is one line you copy into your site — every website platform has a settings field for it, and if you don’t manage your own site, whoever does can drop it in within a minute.

How long does setup take?

Mostly reading. A few minutes to paste your site and add documents, about ten to try real questions and fill gaps, five to set the name, colour and greeting, and one to paste the snippet.

Can I test it before it goes live on my site?

Yes. Every assistant has a private test chat that only you can see. Visitors can't reach it until you pick a plan and put it on your site.

Can it capture leads?

Yes. After it has helped, it asks once for an email or phone number. Each lead appears in your dashboard with the conversation that produced it.

Does it work with WordPress, Webflow, Wix, Shopify, Squarespace and custom sites?

Yes. Installation is a single script tag placed before the closing body tag, which every one of those platforms supports, and so does any hand-built site. There is no plugin to install and no theme to modify.

Can the widget match my website?

Yes. You set its name, avatar, greeting and colour, and whether it sits bottom-right or bottom-left.

I have more than one website. Can I run them from one account?

Yes. Each website gets its own assistant with its own content, look, conversations and leads, under one login. Starter runs one, Growth three and Business as many as you need.

Does each website’s data stay separate?

Yes. Each assistant answers only from its own content. One site's content is never used to answer another site's visitors.

Can I remove ChatDock branding from the widget?

Yes, on the Growth and Business plans. The “Powered by” badge is removed from the widget entirely so the assistant carries only your brand. On Starter the badge stays.

What happens when I reach the message limit?

Your assistant stops answering questions and tells visitors it can't answer right now. It keeps taking their details and tells them you'll get back to them. It starts again when your allowance resets at the start of your next billing period, or as soon as you upgrade. There is no overage charge. Messages are shared across all your assistants.

Can I export conversations and leads?

Not today. Every conversation and every lead is in your dashboard, but there is no CSV or API export yet.

Is there a human handoff?

No, by design. ChatDock is AI-only and never pretends a person is typing. When a visitor needs a person, it says so and takes their details, and you follow up by email or phone with the whole conversation in front of you.

I build or manage websites for clients. Can I use this for them?

Yes. Build one assistant per client, each with its own content and look, and, on plans with share links, send prospects a working demo as a link before you pitch. Clients can't log in themselves. The For agencies page has a margin calculator.

Building assistants for clients?

Each one gets its own content, look and conversations.
