The 2026Group Chat Awards
A year-in-review for one iMessage group chat. Awards, inside jokes and the moments you'll want to rewatch, cut into a short film with its own song.
Made on your phone. Your first one is free.
Bring in one chat. Ask it anything, catch the dates worth a text, and make a video of your year together.
Pick a chat, pick a game.
Ask anything. The answer comes with the real messages it's based on and a chart. Every claim is checked against the chat before you see it.
Birthdays, anniversaries, a new job, a hard week. The moments worth a text, each with a draft and Add to Calendar.
Two years today. I love you.Wrapped for your texts. Your year in one group chat as a short film: a recap, then awards with your friends’ photos and the messages that earned them. Made on your phone.
Astrology that has actually read your texts. Chatini finds the birthdays in the chat and reads your signs against how the two of you really talk.
Every reading leans on real messages: when they go quiet, how fast they reply, what they said on October 5. A horoscope app has never met your Sam. This one has.
Add birth details and get the whole sky as chapters with art, a 90-day transit timeline, where your two charts meet, and a shareable birth-sky card.
No percentages, no verdicts, no guesses about gender or who someone is to you. The chart is worked out on your phone, and your birth time and place never leave it.
For fun and reflection. Readings need Plus or Premium, or a $1 Shooting Star for one chat.
How a chat gets in.
Chatini adds a small helper to Apple's Shortcuts app.
A year of a busy chat takes about fifteen minutes. Be patient and keep the Shortcuts screen open while it runs. Want the fastest experience? Download Chatini Sync for your Mac.
Get Chatini for iPhone →
Chatini Sync sits in your menu bar and syncs your messages every 30 seconds. Every chat is a quick scan away from the latest, so you can spill on what was said five minutes ago.
Chatini Sync is a small menu bar app that syncs your messages every 30 seconds. Pick a chat, show a QR code, point your iPhone at it. One quick scan and your chat is up to date, ready to spill the latest.
Open the download, drag Chatini Sync onto Applications, then allow Full Disk Access when macOS asks.
Privacy.
Other messages are read by Apple's Shortcuts during the search, then left alone. Nothing is saved or sent.
For Spill and Nudge, the one chat you ask about is sent to be answered, after a consent screen. What the app learns stays on the phone.
Films are made on the phone and saved to Photos. The cloud version for groups is opt-in, like Spill. Prefer Spill fully on device? Use Apple Intelligence.
How it works.
What happens to a chat from the moment you pick it, what runs on your phone and what doesn't, how we keep it kind, and what you pay for.
If you've waited all year for your Wrapped, this is that, for the people you actually talk to. Backscroll 2026 takes one iMessage group chat and turns the year into a short film: who kept everyone together, who sent the memes, the night that got out of hand, and the lines you'll want to quote back. It's built from your real messages and your friends' photos, on your phone, with its own song, and it ends on a poster made for Stories.
Unlike a music recap, nobody else holds the data. The chat never has to leave your iPhone to make it.
Chatini only ever works with the one chat you pick. There are two ways to bring it in.
Chatini adds a small helper to Apple's Shortcuts app. Tap Find my chats, pick one and how far back, and the helper pages through Messages keeping only that chat. Progress shows in the Dynamic Island and on the Lock Screen. Nothing is saved until you check the count and dates and tap Add to vault.
Get Chatini for iPhone →Chatini Sync is a free menu bar app for macOS 13 or later. It reads Messages on your Mac (it needs Full Disk Access), exports the one chat you pick and shows a QR code. Point your iPhone's camera at it on the same Wi-Fi. The file travels encrypted (AES-256-GCM) and the code expires after 10 minutes. With sync on, it refreshes every 30 seconds, so bringing any chat up to date is one quick scan.
Download Chatini Sync, 1.7 MB →Either way, the chat lands in a private vault on your phone, and every feature reads from there.
What gets sent. For a cloud feature, the chosen chat's messages (in a group, everyone's) with senders and reactions, plus the basics you set in About you: name, pronouns, an age range (never your birthday), country so we can show the right helpline, and time zone.
When. Only after a one-time sharing agreement you read to the end, which you can withdraw in Settings. Group Spill and the cloud Backscroll also have See what will be sent, which shows the exact request first.
What we keep. No message text, quotes or answers are stored on our servers. We keep usage counts (which feature, which model, how many tokens) so credits add up, and refund records with no words in them.

What things cost in credits. Every price is on the button before you tap it.
Everything that runs on your phone costs us nothing, so it's free. The full experience runs large private models in the cloud, and we pay for every message they read and every word they write.
Credits are how that cost is shared: you pay for what you use, and every price is on the button before you tap it. If a run fails or finds nothing, the credits go back to you automatically.
Free to start. Every cost is on the button before you tap it.
