I'm a software maker that lives on Bainbridge Island, WA.

For the last 8 years I've been focused on AI infrastructure. The software and systems that allow us to manifest intelligence from thousands of distributed computers.

Today I lead the ML platform team at Runway where I help train and serve frontier world models.

Previously I worked at Ai2 for almost 11 years. I helped train models like Olmo and Molmo, contributed to Semantic Scholar's growth from from 0 to 2 million+ monthly active users, and wrote software that supported research efforts like Project Aristo, MOSAIC, PRIOR, AllenNLP and more.

I enjoy my family, coffee, music, vim and creating software with curious people.
