Human transformation is the work.
Codewave started in May 2013 with a simple intention: bring Design Thinking to India and make creativity part of everyone’s job.
Step inside
We soon realised that building great digital experiences required something deeper. We needed a place where people could be fully themselves, get creative, do their best work, and have the freedom to speak up. So we designed the organization around human greatness first.
Human transformation is our ultimate purpose and core culture.
That shapes how we organize ourselves, how we think about technology, and how we work with customers. We believe everyone is a creator. We believe self management creates a culture of ownership. We believe transparency, empathy, self management, authenticity and teamplay are behaviours to live, not just quotes to frame.
But the most important capability we look for is adaptability.
The humility to learn. The courage to unlearn. The willingness to change your mind when reality tells you to.
Because the world changes, the work changes, and what made us successful yesterday may not be what makes us successful tomorrow.
We believe our everyday encounters with people at work can lead to profound exchanges and opportunities for growth. Peerly, Codewave’s own framework for continuous growth, makes these everyday opportunities more visible and meaningful, accelerating learning and enabling holistic personal development.
And what makes it all worth it is what our work does in the world.
A digital experience can make a brand feel more human. One of the mental health apps we built helped prevent a woman from taking her own life. Software can make opportunities more accessible to billions of people. Digital businesses can make essential services fairer and easier to reach.
The impact is the point.
We have worked on experiences that help millions of people access services, learn, transact, recover and participate more easily. That is what gives our work meaning.
FOUNDERS / IN THEIR OWN WORDS
A culture designed on purpose.
Vidhya and Abhijith on the workplace they set out to build, followed by one moment that shows why the work exists.
What we believe.
Everyone is a creator. Your title doesn't decide how much you can contribute.
Self management is a hard skill. Freedom works when people can take responsibility for outcomes.
Transparency builds trust. The most useful conversation is always the honest one.
Empathy changes the work. Empathy is how we design for others and how we approach each other.
Teamplay makes outcomes happen. Real outcomes are rarely achieved by one person.
Adaptability is the unsaid rule. Stay humble enough to learn, unlearn and change at the earliest moment of opportunity.
Build what matters. With people who matter.
That's who we are, shaping what we do.
The rest of the Codewave Verse is simply what happens when we take that belief seriously.
