Alpend is a decentralized money market on the Canton Network. Supply assets to earn yield, or borrow against collateral you already hold — with positions that are confidential by default and settlement that is deterministic on-chain.

Alpend is live in mainnet beta, running an independently audited codebase on Loop multiparty hosting with protocol controls distributed through BitSafe DecMan. Access is permissioned, so your wallet must be whitelisted before you can use the app.

Start using Alpend

  1. Apply for whitelisting. Go to waitlist.alpend.com and log in with Loop, the supported Canton wallet. Add your email, follow @AlpendHQ on X, and join @AlpendDesk on Telegram. Your Canton Party ID is read from Loop automatically.
  2. Wait for approval. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and most are approved the same day. You'll get an email once your wallet is whitelisted.
  3. Log in to the app. Open app.alpend.com, click Login, choose Loop and approve the request. Loop signs transactions on your device, so your private key never leaves it.

Access stays gated while deposit and borrow caps are active, so the protocol can scale safely. Priority goes to participants already active on Canton and to experienced lending users.

Why it's built this way

🔒Confidential
Balances, positions, and counterparties are visible only to authorized participants. Powered by Canton's selective disclosure model.
🏛️Decentralized
Protocol logic runs on-chain, with control of sensitive actions distributed across independent Canton nodes rather than held by a single operator.
⚙️Deterministic
Liquidations, settlements, and rate adjustments follow predefined rules. No MEV, no front-running, no transaction reordering.

Built on Canton

Alpend runs only on the Canton Network, a privacy-first ledger built for institutional finance. Alpend's contracts are written in Daml and run on Canton's distributed ledger rather than a shared public state.

The confidential and deterministic properties described above come from Canton itself, not from a layer Alpend adds on top.

Your Canton Party ID is your identity on the network. It links your positions to your wallet and is visible only to parties you authorize. Alpend is a Canton Foundation General Member and an active validator on the network.

Supported markets

Alpend currently operates markets in Canton Coin (CC), USDCx, and CBTC. Each market has independently configured parameters and its own pool. See Supported Assets.
