What it does

macOS tells you the disk is full. Crumb tells you why.

System Data shows up in Storage settings as one grey bar that can grow to dozens of gigabytes, and Apple won't break it down. Crumb does. It's a menu bar app that maps where your space went, says in plain English what each item is, and clears only what you approve.

How it works:

  1. Scan. A read-only scan maps caches, logs, developer data, apps and duplicates. Nothing is touched.
  2. Review. Every item shows its size and what it is. Untick anything you want to keep, and ask "Safe?" about anything you're unsure of.
  3. Free space. Crumb removes only what you approved, then shows exactly how much space came back.

Six tools in one app:

  • Free Space: finds caches, logs, build artifacts and package caches, and totals what you can safely reclaim before you commit to anything. It focuses on data that rebuilds itself, like Xcode build data, developer and browser caches, old app versions and the Trash.
  • Visualize: ranks your biggest fold
