Release v0.3.4
Anycode v0.3.4
Anycode v0.3.4 is a verification release to test in-place Desktop (latest.json) and CLI (anycode update) self-updates across platforms.

Release v0.3.3
Anycode v0.3.3
Anycode v0.3.3 is a patch release fixing SIGILL (illegal instruction) crashes at startup in the Linux Desktop build (anycode-desktop) on older x86-64 processors and hypervisors, adding the anycode update self-update CLI command, publishing the Desktop auto-updater manifest (latest.json), and pinning CI Linux runners to Ubuntu 24.04 LTS.
Desktop & Linux Binary Compatibility
- x86-64 Baseline for Desktop & All x86_64 Targets: Enforced baseline
x86-64instruction generation (-C target-cpu=x86-64 -C target-feature=-avx,-avx2,-bmi,-bmi2,-fma,-f16candCFLAGS/CXXFLAGS-march=x86-64 -mtune=generic -mno-avx -mno-avx2 -mno-fma -mno-bmi -mno-bmi2 -mno-f16c) across Desktop (anycode-desktop) and CLI builds. Prevents bundled C dependencies (such aslibsqlite3-sys) from emittingFMA3(vfmadd213sd) instructions that crash on pre-Haswell CPUs (e.g. Intel Sandy Bridge / Ivy Bridge) and virtualized environments. - Ubuntu 24.04 LTS CI Runners: Pinned Linux CI and release builds to
ubuntu-24.04LTS instead of floatingubuntu-latestto ensure consistentglibcand toolchain baselines across releases. - Automated CI ISA Verification: Added post-build disassembly checks (
objdump -d) in CI for both CLI and Desktop binaries to automatically reject accidentalFMAinstructions before packaging.
Self-Update & Desktop Auto-Updater
- CLI Self-Update (
anycode update): Added built-inanycode update(andanycode --update/-u) command supporting--check,--version <TAG>, and--commit <SHA>for in-place binary updates across Linux, macOS, and Windows. - Desktop Auto-Updater Manifest (
latest.json): Release workflow now enablescreateUpdaterArtifactswhen signing keys are configured and publisheslatest.jsonacross macOS, Linux (.deb), and Windows (NSIS).

Release v0.3.2
Anycode v0.3.2
Anycode v0.3.2 is a patch release fixing agent auto-scroll layout thrashing on Windows, terminal stdout/stderr drain synchronization, supporting insecure HTTP contexts without HTTPS restrictions, theme-adaptive tab header overlays, and adding per-commit binary installation support.
Agent Chat & Auto-Scroll
- Windows Auto-Scroll Loop Fix: Resolved layout thrashing and infinite scroll loops during agent stream processing on Windows. Eliminated dynamic scrollbar-toggling CSS classes that repeatedly triggered resize observers, replacing them with stable thin scrollbar styling.
Backend & Terminal
- Terminal Output Drain Synchronization: Ensured background stdout and stderr reading tasks are fully drained and joined before signaling terminal exit status, preventing truncated command output in agent terminal runs.
HTTP Context Compatibility & Polyfills
- Insecure Context Support (LAN / HTTP): In non-HTTPS environments (e.g. accessing Anycode over a local network IP without TLS),
crypto.randomUUIDis restricted by browser security policies. Added a robust UUID polyfill fallback and protocol/host detection for seamless operation over standard HTTP and WebSockets. - Polyfill Recursion Safety: Prevented potential recursive self-calls in the
crypto.randomUUIDfallback implementation.
Layout & Themes
- Theme-Adaptive Tab Header Actions Overlay: Tab header action overlays now dynamically inherit the active editor theme background (
var(--theme-background)) instead of using hardcoded colors. In dynamic/transparent background modes, overlays feature smooth 12px backdrop blur and semi-transparent tinting.
CI & Installer Improvements
- Commit Builds in Installers:
install.shandinstall.ps1now support--commit <SHA>(or passing a 7-40 character commit hash) to directly download and install binaries built by CI for any specific commit. - Fast CI Artifact Publishing: Optimized
test-build.ymlto upload Linux and Windows CLI artifacts immediately upon job completion without waiting on macOS runners.
