I'm Mitch, a freelance visual designer based in Brisbane. I work across graphics, websites and interactive projects, with a particular interest in developing interactive work from concept through to a working interface. Originally from New Zealand, I studied Graphic Design at Queensland TAFE in my late twenties. My client work also includes video production, from player entrances to highlight packages for live events.
Sport was an early influence on my interest in design. Growing up in New Zealand, the All Blacks’ identity was everywhere, and I noticed it long before I studied design. Rugby remains an important part of my life. Producing videos for events featuring players I grew up watching has been especially meaningful, and I’d like to continue working with sporting clients.
Building for the web has allowed me to pursue ideas I previously lacked the technical skills to realise. Working with AI development tools has helped me learn through building my own projects. Preserving the intended design through development has been a consistent focus, and I’ve developed my own tools to give me greater control over that process.
Working programs on this desktop include MiPod, an MiPod Classic in the browser, Mi Boy Color, a Mi Boy, and Media Player, a Windows Media Player. Log in, then open them from the desktop or the Start menu. Paint, Minesweeper, Pinball, Messenger, and WoW login stay on the desktop. They are not separate sites.
