The Gospel of Christ: The Complete Life and Teachings of Jesus (Reconstructed from Biblical and Non-Biblical Scripture, in Simple English) (Unorthodox Christ Collection)

by Jared Woods (Author) Format: Kindle Edition
4.5 out of 5 stars (20)

The Jesus you know has been packaged and sold to you.

In the 4th century, the Roman Empire authorised a single Gospel tradition to shape a version of Jesus that fit its political priorities. Countless Christian writings were suppressed, and their followers were brutally executed.

Today, Jesus' name continues to be weaponised. Political figures and media personalities exploit him for influence and profit. But their intentions contradict the very heart of Jesus' teachings.

Finally discover the whole truth about Jesus Christ.

The Gospel of Christ harmonises over 250 ancient Christian texts into one continuous narrative, translated into clear, contemporary English. It is a brand-new reconstruction, not found anywhere else.

We restore the life and philosophy of Jesus Christ, using:

  • The Infancy Gospels that were rejected from the New Testament
  • His practical instruction explained through parables
  • Every example of his messianic signs demonstrated through miracles and healings
  • The merciless crucifixion and divine resurrection retold
  • His apocalyptic teaching in full context
  • The gentle unveiling of the controversial Gnostic mysteries

This is the most comprehensive New Testament Gospel source to date: The Untold Biography of Christ.

Each of the 250+ sources are listed in the book for your further research, and includes:

  • Gospel of Thomas
  • Gospel of Judas
  • Gospel of Philip
  • Gospel of Peter
  • Gospel of Mary Magdalene
  • Infancy Gospel of Thomas
  • Shepherd of Hermas
  • Gospel of the Hebrews
  • Gospel of the Ebionites
  • Gospel of the Nazarenes
  • Didache
  • Pistis Sophia
  • Gospel of Truth

Early readers love THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST:

★★★★★ "I highly recommend anyone who claims to be a Christian read this book. This is eye-opening, and I'm still trying to let everything I read soak in." - Patricia

★★★★★ "A beautifully written book that invites us to question and explore our own interpretation of Christ [while] stepping back from rigid, doctrinated views." - Luke

★★★★★ "Challenging and deeply thought-provoking [...] an excellent job of exposing how selective Bible reading is often used to justify limiting beliefs." - Suserla

★★★★★ "I learned a lot that I didn't know [...] and would like to add a big shout out for the incredibly detailed and meticulously researched appendix of sources." - Tony

★★★★ "Radical and deeply overdue. By weaving together over 250 ancient texts [...] Woods strips away centuries of imperial 'packaging' to reveal a more complex portrait of Jesus." - Adam

Born in South Africa and now a nomadic traveller, Jared Woods has explored more than 85 countries, gathering inspiration from the world's diverse cultures. Each year, he reads a central sacred text from a different religion, deepening his understanding of spiritual traditions and mythologies.

This curiosity and dedication to comparative theology have greatly influenced his novels "Breaking Her Promise to God" and "The Lamb Prophecy", in which Jared blends dark fantasy with real-world political conflicts.

Jared's religious study extends further into nonfiction. His books "Jesus Was a Shapeshifting Alien (and 22 Other Christ Conspiracies)" and "The Gospel of Christ: The Complete Life and Teachings of Jesus" focus on the untold mysteries behind the Christian prophet. He has also developed his own spiritual philosophy in the "Janthopoyism Bible".
