Drop a PDF on her and say what you want. A spreadsheet comes back as a file.
Nico is a different kind of personal agent.
She lives on your screen, hears what you ask, sees what you see, gets things done, and keeps your secrets.
No cloud computer.
Everything she does, she does on your Mac.
Free to download. Runs on the ChatGPT or Claude subscription you already have. See every provider you can use

“Why is this bill so high?” She reads your screen and tells you why.
“Clean up my Desktop.” Files go into your folders. Say “undo that,” and they all go back.
Ask for the lease Dana sent. She finds it and writes back to Dana.
In your own Chrome, from your receipt. She asks before she submits it.
Ask for a team dinner near the office. She knows where it is and finds two.
Before coffee with Sam, she speaks first and brings up what you told her.
“Tell me when my lamp is out for delivery.” She watches your email and tells you.
Just say it out loud.
One sentence is enough. She sees what's on your screen and takes whatever you drop on her, so you never have to explain the setup.
Mail
She finds it in your inbox, reads the mail and the attachment, and tells you the gist out loud. A reply goes out only after you've seen it.
Read me the quote the client sent last week.
Look
She sees the window you're in. No copying, no explaining — she takes it from your screen and hands back a file.
Put the numbers in this table into an Excel sheet.
Write
Drop in your notes and tell her the format. The finished doc comes back as a card you can open or drag out.
Turn these bullet points into a one-page brief, as a Word doc.
Do
Drop the contract on her and say it. She reads it, pulls out what matters, and writes it into your Notes while you keep working.
Turn this contract into three bullet points and save them to Notes.
Web
She works in her own browser on your Mac, or right in your Chrome through the Nico extension. Sites see your usual network and your existing login, so they treat her like you.
Grab last month’s invoices from the supplier portal.
Watch
She checks it for you and only speaks up when there's something new. Folders and your calendar work the same way.
Keep an eye on this jobs page and tell me when a new role appears.
Or say nothing at all. She'll bring it up.
Nothing to set up. She remembers what you've said, and knows when it's worth bringing up.
Your plans
She remembers the plans and deadlines you mention, and brings them up when they matter.

Morning. Wasn't the proposal due today? Did it go out?
Your calendar
Before what's on your calendar, she brings up what you'll need, and offers to handle it.

Your flight's at 7 tomorrow. Want me to check you in tonight?
Your inbox
She reads what arrives while you're away, and brings up the mail that matters to you.

Lisa wrote back about the quote. She needs it by Friday. Want me to draft a reply?
Your life
She remembers the people in your life, and the days that matter to you.

Your anniversary with Mia is this Saturday. Got anything planned?
Don't type. Just say it.
Hold the right ⌘, say what you need, and let go. Speaking is about three times faster than typing, and your hands never leave what you’re doing.

Check these three contracts against the email, flag any payment dates that don’t match, and send it to Lily by Friday
3× fasterSpeaking is about three times faster than typing
The same request, typed vs. said
The request in the bubble is 21 words, estimated at 40 words a minute typed and 150 spoken.
Your words show up in her bubble as you speak and stay there after you let go, so you can see what she heard.
From any app
Wherever you are, hold the right ⌘ and talk. No window to switch to, no box to click into.
Ramble. She gets it.
Pause, back up, change your mind halfway: “Thursday, no, make it Friday.” She hears what you mean, not just the words.
Just say “this”
She can see the window you’re using. “Which one should I pick?” “What does this error mean?” No need to describe it.
Cut in any time
Press the key while she’s talking and she stops to listen. No waiting for her to finish.
One Nico Two agents.
Nico is made of two agents. One stays out front and answers you right away. The other works behind the scenes, getting things done and looking things up.
Out front
Nico talks with you
Quick and always there. She works out what you need, hands the job to the Worker, and tells you how it went. Before the Worker sends, submits or deletes anything, she checks that step against what you actually asked. Mail and payments still wait for you. Even while a long job runs, she’s free to talk.
Check these three contracts against the email.
On it. I’ve handed it to the Worker and I’ll tell you when it’s done.
Runs on Nico’s own voice service, with Nico Plus.
Behind the scenes
The Worker gets it done
A desktop work agent, the kind everyone’s talking about. It plans, researches, works with your files, the web, your mail and your apps, makes what you asked for, and checks its own work. All on your Mac, inside a sandbox.
Inside the Worker is pi, an open-source agent harness: a small, readable loop that talks to the model, runs the tools it asks for, and already speaks to every provider below. We’ve read a lot of agent code. This is the one we’d build on, so we did. The tools, the check before every action, and the sandbox are Nico’s own. pi on GitHub

Runs on your own AI subscription.

She lives on your Mac,not on a cloud computer
Many personal agents now work on a virtual computer in the cloud. You upload your files, sign in again over there, and download whatever it makes. Nico lives on your Mac, where your files, accounts and apps already are.
How shekeeps your secrets
Three things make that true: what you say to her is never stored, the Worker runs on your own AI account, and everything she makes stays on your Mac.
0Zero Data Retention
Nothing you say to her is kept. Anywhere.
What you say to Nico, by voice or by typing, is handled with zero data retention. Nico’s relay has no database: it passes your words along and keeps nothing, and its logs hold only numbers like timing and usage. The model provider doesn’t keep them or train on them either.
The Worker never touches Nico’s servers
It talks straight from your Mac to the AI provider you picked, with your own account, under that provider’s privacy terms. Nico has no copy of what it reads or writes.
Everything stays on your Mac
Memories, chat history and what she makes are files on your Mac. Credentials go into your Keychain. There is no cloud computer holding a second copy.
The mic is on only while you hold the key
Let go of the right ⌘ and the mic closes. When she glances at your screen, the screenshot stays in memory and is never saved.
Nothing irreversible without you
Before anything that can’t be undone or that involves money, she stops and asks. She goes ahead only after you approve.
Get to know Nicoin three steps
- 1
Install
Open the DMG and drag Nico into your Applications folder.
- 2
Follow her checklist
The first time you open her, she pins a checklist beside her: allow the microphone and Input Monitoring, tell her what to call you, and connect your AI account.
- 3
Say hi
Hold right ⌘, say hi, and let go. She'll answer.
