Security

Plugins without the security nightmare

Plugins from the registry run in their own sandbox and get only the capabilities they declare and you approve.

Sandboxed by default

Each plugin runs in an isolated sandbox. It can’t read environment variables, the filesystem, or another plugin’s storage.

You approve every permission

The consent dialog lists the exact permissions and network hosts a plugin asks for before anything installs.

Checked before it installs

EmDash verifies the bundle’s checksum, name, version, and permissions. Installation stops if any check fails.

Updates ask first

An update waits for your confirmation when it adds permissions or MCP tools, or makes an authenticated route public.

Install

From registry to running in three steps

Installs happen in your own EmDash admin, so you stay in control of every site.

Read the installation guide
  1. Find a plugin

Search by name or keyword, or paste a public name like @example.com/search-ping.

  2. Open it in your site

Choose Open in EmDash on a plugin page to jump to its install screen in your admin.

  3. Review and install

Check the publisher, permissions, and verification status, then confirm the install.
