Art at the intersection of technology, with a social aspect. We produce immersive artworks that travel internationally — and develop ethical AI tools that emerge directly from artistic research.
Technology should serve human connection and preserve individual dignity, rather than reduce people to aggregated data.
"Deceptively humble and delightful, this open-world documentary invites us to freely explore a country in transition. Guided by a daring new talent in XR storytelling, it confronts us with the vulnerability of everyday life, evoking a universal sense of place."
— SXSW XR Jury, 2025
"Chloé Lee's excellent, ingenious Reflections of Little Red Dot, which repurposes an old analogue slide projector for a vivid whistle-stop tour of Singapore's cultural history."
The Guardian
"More than a showcase of interface virtuosity, it is a work of memory… a masterpiece."

Present Futures is a Berlin-based immersive media and software studio, founded in 2023 by artist and documentary director Chloé Lee (chloeyenlinglee.com) and creative technologist Lucas Martinic (lucasmartinic.com).
The studio produces Lee's immersive practice: socially-engaged XR art and community-driven archival documentaries. Her open-world documentary Reflections of Little Red Dot won the Jury Award in the XR Experience Competition at SXSW, the Reflet d'Or for Best Immersive Experience at the Geneva International Film Festival, and the Bisato d'Oro at Venice Immersive. Her work spans installation, cinematography, sound, and spatial and interaction design, and has established new approaches to storytelling through walkable, immersive archives.
Martinic leads the development that brings these works into physical space: systems architecture, custom hardware and spatial sound engineering. He works by building, rapid prototyping creative implementations for the studio's projects, testing interaction and spatial ideas in hardware, so that concepts can be explored in practice early rather than solely in theory. His series of 100 prototypes and Inkphony, a mixed-reality music app co-created with Tejas Shroff and Nadja Pirchheim, winner of XRCC 2025 and the Meta Horizon Start Developer Competition, come out of that approach.
The studio's current work, Inter(mediate) Spaces, is a two-part experience: AI-fostered community Living Labs in Berlin, New York and Montreal, where an archive of reflections on community, memory and technology is co-created with participants, and a three-room XR installation built from that archive. Two people begin at opposite ends of a room in headsets, move separately through layered audiovisual memory landscapes, then meet and generate a new shared environment together. Created by Lee, with systems architecture and custom open-source AI pipelines by Martinic.
The studio operates with a lean core team of two founders, supported by a network of local facilitators and collaborators engaged project by project.
