We’re excited to announce that our MedSyn project is finally out after 2 years of dedicated work. Congrats to @yanwuxu6 and Li Sun! MedSyn is a fully controllable Generative AI that synthesizes anatomically realistic CT images using text prompts with extensive evaluation.

Anne Gagneux, Ségolène Martin, @qu3ntinb, Remi Emonet and I wrote a tutorial blog post on flow matching: dl.heeere.com/cfm/ with lots of illustrations and intuition! We got this idea after their cool work on improving Plug and Play with FM: arxiv.org/abs/2410.02423

This is the first step in making foundational vision language model for mammography. FM for medical imaging is still in early days and a lot of people are working on this. I believe we need organ specific FM if we want to detect subtle pathology. 1/n
