Additional Fees & Important Information

• Unprocured footage (Vods, full streams, long raw-recordings) will be charged additionally based upon the duration of media provided. The "Scrub Fee" is $8 per hour that the media is long. To avoid this cost, please send "clips" or procured footage.
• Duration of the estimated final product will affect price. $17 is for up to 30 seconds of estimated final product. Any estimate longer than 30 seconds is subject to variably change due to increased duration, having a maximum cap of $50 for 90 seconds, determined by project complexity and duration.

Pricing & Rates

• While there is no absolute "fixed rate", generally, every 5 minutes of content/estimated duration/final product duration costs $100. (E.g: 10 minute video = $200. 30 minute video = $600, etc.)
• Duration of the final product that is NOT an even 5 minutes will have it's price adjusted to reflect that of the appropriate duration to the minute position. (E.g: 13 minute video = $160. 26 minute video = $520, etc.)
• Project complexity may be reflected in the price, up to $60 of project cost reduction or increase

• Manually Assisted Subtitling (MAS). Automated transcriber generated subtitles, QCed and retimed manually to ensure quality and legibility. Provided as .srt and/or on-screen

Important

• Generally, the longer the content and more VODs/original footage proposed to the service will affect the price. Please be advised and procure your content before making a request
• Depending on the disparity of duration between the planned final product and VOD/original-media, an additional "scrub fee" may be applied. This rate will vary depending on the disparity but has a maximum cost of $8 per hour that the footage is long. This fee does not take affect unless the VOD/original-media is over 4 hours long
• Before accepting the project, I will send you a pre-edited, trimmed video arranged to an estimated duration of the final product. This will help you understand what will be included in the video and help me form an accurate price quote for the video. Please be ready to provide directions, input, and review the preliminary video arrangement for faster project acceptance. Expect draft to consist of rough trims, timecodes and lower quality than final variant for rapid turnaround

What's different about this service from others?

• While other services I provide aim to ensure every second of a video has some from of editing, music or sfx, 'Extra-lite Editing' service allows a video to play naturally, using trims to ensure ease of listening and to remove 'silence'; much like VOD trimming/editing. Subtle and infrequent edits are added throughout the video to support conversation, events and highlights while maintaining the content's organic state.
• Because of the aim to reduce frequency of edits and lack of audio/visual intrusion, the cost of this service is significantly reduced from other services since labor and time spent on edits is much less overall.
• If there are sequences within the content that stand out from the rest of the video, I may edit it more heavily to support and help it stand out even more, creating a sense of narrative and cohesion.



Pricing & Rates

Please note that the following rates and durations refer to the final ESTIMATED duration to be charged upfront. NOT the unedited video or final product itself.

• While there is no absolute "fixed rate", the first 10 minutes and project acceptance is $30, then generally, every 10 minutes of content after the first 10 is $30. (E.g: 20 minute video = $60. 40 minute video = $120, etc.)
• Duration of the final product that is NOT an even 10 minutes will have it's price adjusted to reflect that of the appropriate duration to the minute position. (E.g: 13 minute video = $39. 26 minute video = $78, etc.)
• Project complexity may be reflected in the price, up to $30 of project cost reduction or increase
• Scrub rates will apply to all 'unprocured' footage, at $8 for every hour the VOD/original-media is long.

• Before accepting the project, I will review the footage to ensure I can properly support the project and check for any disparities. I may send you a trimmed, unedited version to discuss the "field" of content and how it'd be formatted in it's target duration form, prior to payment to ensure quality and transparency.
