Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Writing Studio, available at writingstudio.com and app.writingstudio.com (the “Service”), operated by Writing Studio Ltd (trading as “Writing Studio,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. If you use it for an organisation, you confirm you can bind that organisation to these Terms.

2. The Service

Writing Studio studies the websites you add and, if you connect it, your Google Search Console data, then plans, researches and writes blog articles, creates images, and publishes or updates articles on the platforms you connect. It uses artificial intelligence: Anthropic’s models research and write the articles, and fal draws their featured images with OpenAI’s image model. Articles are written by AI for you to review. The Service doesn’t label them as AI-written, so whether to say so on your site is up to you.

3. You decide what is published

You choose, for each site, whether articles wait for your approval or publish automatically on their scheduled day. When auto-publish is on, you authorise us to publish and update articles on your connected platforms without asking each time.

AI-written content can contain errors, outdated facts or unsuitable wording. You are responsible for the content published to your sites, including content published automatically, and for reviewing it as much as you need. The Service does not provide legal, medical, financial or other professional advice.

4. Your sites and connections

You may only add sites, Search Console properties and platforms you own or are authorised to manage. You are responsible for the keys and passwords you give us and for revoking them when you no longer want us to have access. Your use of Google and your platforms is also subject to their own terms.

5. Your content

You own the articles, images and other content created for you in the Service, and the content you give us (“Your Content”), to the extent the law allows. You give us permission to use Your Content to provide the Service, including sending the parts needed to our AI provider. We do not use Your Content to train AI models.

You must have the rights to anything you give us, and you must not use the Service to create content that is unlawful, infringing, deceptive, defamatory or harmful.

6. Free plan, paid plans and billing

New accounts start on the Free plan, with no card required: one site, a content plan and Search Console insights for as long as you use it, and one article. Writing more articles, and refreshes, need a paid plan.

Paid plans renew automatically each month or year until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from Settings; you keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for. Monthly allowances of articles and refreshes reset each billing month and don’t roll over. Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices may change with reasonable notice.

Payments aren’t refunded for a period that has already started, except where the law requires it. If something went wrong, email support@writingstudio.com and we’ll put it right.

7. Acceptable use

Don’t use the Service to spam search engines or publish content at a scale or in a way that breaks search engine guidelines, to impersonate others, to get around plan limits or security, to reverse-engineer the Service, or in any way that breaks the law or another person’s rights.

8. Third-party services

The Service relies on the providers listed in section 4 of our Privacy Policy (Anthropic, fal, Google, DataForSEO, Clerk, Neon, Vercel, Stripe, Resend, Sentry and Framer), and on the platforms you connect. We are not responsible for their outages, changes or actions outside our control.

9. Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms. These Terms keep applying to your earlier use of the Service.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent the law allows. We don’t promise any particular ranking, traffic or result.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including from content published to your sites. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be shown by an updated date above, and we’ll email account owners about them at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and the courts of New Zealand have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, unless agreed otherwise in writing.
