We handle the complexity of Reddit API access. You get the data.
CiteRocket is an independent, managed Reddit API for developers, AI agents and brands building an AI visibility strategy. Since November 2025, Reddit has closed self-service access to its own Data API: every new OAuth token needs an application and Reddit's approval. Reddit now says it stops accepting new requests for public API access on 31 October 2026 and ends remaining public access in March 2027. CiteRocket gives you Reddit API access in minutes, with one Bearer token and no application to file.
That token covers the whole platform: posts and full comment trees, search across posts, comments, communities, users and media, and profiles and account status, with comments and votes from accounts you own coming soon. Responses are clean JSON with cursor pagination. We publish per-plan rate limits and live uptime. Start free, then pick a credit plan when you need volume.
A Reddit API for reads and writes over plain HTTP, an open-source MCP server for agents, and live reliability numbers rather than promises. Everything runs on the same API key.

02 / Use cases
Search and read Reddit from code, then build the workflow your team actually needs on top.
03 / Response time
Measured on production, 14 September 2026. Standard reads return in roughly 0.8 to 1.5 seconds, most of it the upstream Reddit fetch.
04 / Throughput
A Reddit developer API with one per-account rate ceiling that scales with your plan, instead of a quota per endpoint.
05 / Getting started
No OAuth app, no application to Reddit and no waiting for approval. Every account starts with 1,000 free credits and no card, and paid plans are built for commercial use. One credit is one read.
Reddit MCP server
CiteRocket publishes an open-source Reddit MCP server you run with one npx command, so an agent built on the Model Context Protocol can search, read threads and look up users without you writing an integration. Every call goes through your API key and is metered in the same credits as the HTTP API.
Every endpoint is documented with examples in
No. You get Reddit API access with a single Bearer token from your dashboard. We manage the Reddit side, including sessions and rotating residential proxies, so there is no OAuth flow, no application to Reddit and no user-agent tuning on your end.
PRAW wraps Reddit's official OAuth API, so it inherits the free tier's rate budget and non-commercial limits, and Reddit says that public API access ends in March 2027. CiteRocket is a managed Reddit developer API: per-plan rate ceilings and clean JSON built for pipelines behind one key, with login, comments and votes coming soon. The Python guide shows both approaches side by side.
Reddit's own public Data API is closing. Since November 2025 every new OAuth token needed Reddit's approval; Reddit says it stops accepting new requests for public API access on 31 October 2026 and ends remaining public access in March 2027, moving developers to its Developer Platform (Devvit). CiteRocket is an independent Reddit API you can use the same day: one Bearer token, no OAuth app, no application to Reddit. Reddit's rules on how its data is used still apply.
Every new CiteRocket account starts with 1,000 free credits, enough for 1,000 reads, with no card required. Reddit's own Data API also has a rate-limited free tier for non-commercial apps; our rate limits guide compares the two.
Brand and keyword monitoring, lead generation from subreddits, research datasets, dashboards over Reddit conversations, AI agents that read threads and reply from accounts you own, and Reddit research workflows for AI visibility, with independent citation measurement.
CiteRocket powers the Reddit side of your AI visibility strategy: find questions about your category, monitor Reddit brand mentions and publish useful comments from accounts you own. The goal is to earn relevant brand mentions in AI answers. AI mentions and citations need separate measurement, and no outcome or timeline is guaranteed.
Plans are monthly credit allowances: a read costs 1 credit, a vote 2, comments and logins 5. Plans start at $19/month and the CiteRocket overview endpoint is free. The full table is on the pricing page.
Yes. Every endpoint returns JSON over HTTPS, so you can use the CiteRocket API as a Reddit JSON API from any language: request a URL with your Bearer token and get a JSON body back. List endpoints include nextCursor and hasMore fields for pagination, response keys are camelCase, and the docs show the same call in curl, JavaScript and Python. No SDK is required.
Yes. Paid CiteRocket plans are built for commercial use, and there is no separate commercial tier or application to file. Reddit's own free Data API tier is limited to non-commercial apps. You remain responsible for how you use the data and for following Reddit's rules and our acceptable use policy, which prohibits spam and vote manipulation.
Every read endpoint is probed continuously and the results are public: the status page shows current availability and 90-day uptime history per endpoint. The service runs under published terms, an acceptable use policy and a refund policy.
