The best software I use costs money once and never asks for my attention again.
No streaks. No notifications. No "we miss you" emails.
It just opens fast and does the thing.
Ratio has been "Waiting for Review" on the Mac App Store for a week.
Meanwhile it's already live on Mac, Windows and Linux from my site.
Indie Mac devs, what's your longest wait?
Most of my code this week was written in pair with Claude Code.
What I do: decide what to build, test it, and catch when it misreads “$100 / $4” as 400.
What it does: the typing.Solo doesn’t feel that solo anymore.
Built a contact form and got carried away.
When you hit send, the form melts and a letter seals itself into a silver envelope that flies off. If sending fails, it shakes with a red badge.
Also: bots get blocked, and each IP can send 3 messages per 10 minutes.
