a vector db finds what's close in meaning. a graph db finds how things are connected semantic search and rag need the first. friends of friends and fraud rings need the second which one has your project actually needed: vector, graph, or both?

github went down this afternoon. git, pull requests, issues and actions, all degraded at once. my timeline turned into "github is down" posts "we can't deploy, github is down" is an architecture choice. if your deploy needs github, github is part of your production how i set it

a playwright psa is all over my timeline: the latest version still ships a chromium build missing last week's security fixes, and its sandbox is off by default before you panic: running tests against your own app on localhost isn't the scary part the scary part is an ai agent
