Backed by research

Built on a master’s thesis

Before a single screen was designed, 18 students were interviewed about how they really study for exams. The first version was then used by 37 students during their real final exams. Xamally’s planning rules come from that work.

“I usually never had enough time for my last exam. This solved it.”
“The schedule it created was almost the same one I had in my mind.”

Stop planning, start studying

Fair split

More time for the course that matters most, enough for the rest. No exam is left for the night before.

Built for postponing

Off day? Postpone it; the missed time moves to your next free study slots before the exam, and the plan stays intact.

Gentle reminders

Before a session, tomorrow’s plan in the evening, the day before an exam and the exam morning. You pick which.

See your progress

How much you’ve studied per course, how much is left and how well you’re keeping to the plan, at a glance.

No account needed

Everything stays on your phone. Sign in only if you want to back up your plan and move it to a new phone.

Your plan, your call

Add, move or delete sessions; change courses and preferences anytime. Xamally just helps.

Only on Xamally

Make yourself a promise

Write down why you’re studying, add a photo or record a short video. When your plan starts to slip, Xamally shows you your own words instead of a stock quote. And when you’re on track, it reminds you of the reward you promised yourself.

  • Text, photo or video
  • Your promise when you fall behind, your reward when you’re on track
  • All of it stays on your phone

Frequently asked questions

Why not make the plan myself, or ask a chatbot?

You can. Xamally does the part people skip. It shares your time by priority across all your exams, backwards from each date. When you miss a day, it calculates the plan again. A hand-made or chatbot plan stays the same after the first missed day.

Is Xamally free?

Downloading Xamally and adding your exams is free. To use your plan, try the annual plan free for 14 days (cancel during the trial and you won’t be charged), or buy a 2-month pack once, with no subscription.

Do I need an account?

No. Xamally works fully without one. Signing in is only for backing up your plan and moving it to a new phone.

Where is my data stored?

Your courses, sessions and promises are stored on your phone. If you sign in, a backup of your plan is uploaded to our server. We never sell your data. Details are in the privacy policy.

What if I miss a session?

Tap Postpone: the missed time moves to your next free study slots before the exam, usually the course’s next study days. If there’s no room left, Xamally tells you and shows your options.

My exam is soon. Is it too late?

Xamally asks for about two weeks before your first exam, because students with higher grades usually started then. If your exams are closer but your study time still fits, it builds a shorter plan straight away; if it really doesn’t fit, it tells you honestly and shows your options.

What if my exam date changes?

Edit the course and change the date. Xamally offers to rebuild your plan around the new date.

Is it only for university?

It’s designed around midterm and finals weeks, but it works for any exam with a date.

How do I cancel my subscription?

In your App Store or Google Play account settings, at least 24 hours before the period ends. Cancel during the trial and you won’t be charged.
