What to Build

Build a generative AI application using Amazon Nova on AWS. We encourage submissions that reflect one of the following focus areas. You may use any preferred services, frameworks (such as AWS Strands, LangChain), and tools (such as MCP, A2A), but your core solution must use a Nova foundation model (such as Nova 2 Lite, Nova 2 Sonic, multimodal Embedding) and/or the Nova Act service.

  • Agentic AI: Build solutions where agents use Amazon Nova reasoning capabilities to tackle complex, real-world problems. 

  • Multimodal Understanding: Create rich multimodal applications that understand and/or generate across text, documents, speech, images, or video using Nova.

  • UI Automation: Build Nova Act-powered agents that automate real-world workflows across web applications.

  • Voice AI: Create real-time conversational voice experiences using Nova 2 Sonic.

  • Freestyle: If your project doesn’t fit into the above categories, submit it under the Freestyle category.   

 

What to Submit

  • Submitter Type: Individual (student or professional), Team (student or professional), Organization

  • Category: Agentic AI, Multimodal Understanding, UI Automation, Voice AI, Freestyle

  • Text description: A brief summary of your project, its purpose, and how it leverages Amazon Nova foundation models

  • Demo Video (Approx. 3 minutes): Upload a short video showcasing your project in action. Please include the hashtag #AmazonNova

  • Code repo: Share link to your project’s code repository (e.g., Github). You can share a public or private repository - if private, please share access with testing@devpost.com and Amazon-Nova-hackathon@amazon.com

  • Bonus Prize

    • A published blog post on builder.aws.com covering how your project can positively affect your target community. Discuss the potential benefits, envisioned real-world application, and any plans for encouraging adoption
