2026-01-07 14:14 - my film scanner arrived today. i bought a nikon coolscan and am in the process of trying to get silverfast to work with wine on arch (which did not end up working). i went to my local tech store and bought a 2TB SSD with the intention of installing windows onto it and dualbooting which ended up proving successful in the end. high quality scans of photos will find their way onto the darkroom page in the coming months as i gradually scan all the rolls.

2026-01-06 15:35 - slowly grinding away at week one for challenge 52. i fell behind a whole 2 days because i got lazy but im making up for it now (much to my own detriment, hello early carpal tunnel!). also made some more progress on silksong today and drew some autism fuelled hollow knight terraria crossover art.

2026-01-05 15:42 - i started playing silksong today and was really enjoying it until i got up to the bit with the ants and those red bouncing things you have to diagonally pogo off of. when i began playing hollow knight i remember thinking that there was no way i was going to finish this game (i have a couple of skills and gaming is not one of them) however i persevered and ended up beating the game and kind of fell in love with it despite my skill issue. so obviously i just have to persist and hope i can at least get to the end of act one.

2026-01-04 11:02 - revamped the site with the intention of starting anew. while i like my old site, i want to move away from that identity and give myself some space to breathe and some creative freedom to explore myself so i have decided to make this new site as simple as possible. i want to put an emphasis on the content of the site rather than the aesthetics this time around, which should hopefully encourage me to publish content more often. enjoy!
