Inspiration

Bizzy began with my uncle — a pomelo farmer in Southern Thailand. Despite growing top-quality fruit, he didn’t know how to sell online. Like many small business owners, he relied on middlemen who took most of the profit.

I built Bizzy to help him and others like him to take back control of their sales with a simple tool that requires minimal technical skills. Bizzy empowers low-tech, solo entrepreneurs to grow their businesses online, with everything done for them.

What it does

Bizzy is a social commerce platform built for one-person businesses. It comes fully set up with:

  • A friendly Facebook chatbot that acts as a 24/7 sales agent
  • Real-time dashboard for tracking orders and revenue
  • Inventory management and order creation directly from chat
  • Automated post scheduler for Facebook
  • Bio storefront, Mini-CRM, and AI assistant
  • Zero friction — we set up everything for the user

How we built it

  • Frontend: Built with Bolt.new and deployed using Netlify
  • Backend: Uses Supabase for authentication, database, and edge functions
  • Chatbot: Facebook Messenger bot connected via Webhook, powered by Supabase edge functions
  • Domain: Deployed on a custom IONOS domain via Entri (Bizzy.site)
  • Hosting & CI/CD: Fully deployed on Netlify with instant updates

Challenges we ran into

  • Understanding what users really need to sell online — since I had no prior experience myself, I talked to friends who run small businesses to learn what matters to them.
  • Facebook Graph API and Messenger webhook integration — handling permissions, secure setup, and syncing with the backend took time to get right.
  • Prompt engineering and ensuring the AI chatbot could execute tools properly — getting it to trigger functions like order creation and customer tracking in the right context was tricky, especially with an unfamiliar framework.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • Successfully built an end-to-end tool that solo sellers can actually use
  • Launched an MVP at Bizzy.site with working chatbot + backend

What we learned

  • Empathy leads to clarity. Building for low-tech users forced us to simplify and focus on actual needs.
  • Chatbots can be sales agents. When designed well, they can guide, reassure, and close — not just answer questions.
  • Bolt + Supabase + Netlify is a powerful stack for fast full-stack dev with scalability built-in.

What's next for Bizzy.site

  • Test and iterate with real businesses — We’re onboarding local sellers to use Bizzy in real scenarios, helping us find and fix the remaining bugs and UX gaps.
  • Localizing Bizzy for Thai speakers — We're translating the chatbot, dashboard, and onboarding flow to support Thai-speaking users and make the platform truly accessible.
