Inspiration

Classrooms today are overloaded, with too many subjects, too little time, and one-size-fits-all teaching. Students struggle to keep up, teachers struggle to personalise, and learning often becomes about surviving exams rather than understanding concepts. But behind it all, there's this one unavoidable yet outdated way of learning - Textbooks (especially CBSE NCERT). Now, Visual animations, etc, has enabled students to grasp it, but Board examiners still stick to the 'word-by-word' keywords from that textbook. ClassEase AI was inspired by a simple question: What if AI could act like a personal academic assistant for every student, converting their 30-40 pages of textbook words into a structured report with proper citations, lexicons and formulas, without replacing teachers?

What it does

ClassEase AI helps students learn smarter, not harder. It simplifies complex topics, assists with notes, explanations, and academic queries, and makes studying more interactive and less overwhelming. Instead of jumping between multiple tools and resources, students get one place where learning feels clear, structured, and approachable. To get started, you either upload your Textbook PDF or just tell it the subject and chapter. NO HARD PROMPTING NEEDED. You would be given a tailored report to begin your studies!

How we built it

We built ClassEase AI as a lightweight, web-based platform focused on simplicity and speed. The goal was to make it accessible from anywhere, without steep learning curves. By combining modern web technologies like Vite with GEMINI's AI-powered intelligence, we designed an interface that feels natural for students, clean, intuitive, and distraction-free.

Challenges we ran into

CONTROLLED AI - reduce hallucinations and stick to the textbook words while reducing the overwhelming fear.

Accomplishments that we’re proud of

  • Turning an idea into a working product in a short time
  • Creating an experience that feels genuinely helpful, not overwhelming
  • Designing a platform that students can actually see themselves using daily
  • Keeping the focus on learning outcomes, not just flashy features

What we learned

We learned that education tools don’t need to be complex to be powerful. Students value clarity, speed, and guidance far more than feature overload. Most importantly, AI works best in education when it supports curiosity and the system instead of replacing effort.
