Inspiration
so we went on ice gaming conference in Barcelona and we met betting companies that are working with these sports companies and they mentioned the hackathon. So that's how we got inspired to participate and to tackle the scouting problem.
What it does
what we do is that we basically pull data from the grid.gg API and analyze them in order to extract a SWOT analysis on the opponent.
How we built it
we built it by leveraging coding agents. We're using different LLMs to summarize the data and make predictions.
Challenges we ran into
the challenging part was to understand the data from the grid.gg endpoint, to understand the multiple URLs and data schemas. After that, it was pretty straightforward.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
we managed to create useful results and work fast and smart. This is a usable tool, takes improvement. We are planning to work with other esports teams to provide them this as a service when it's mature enough and we would be excited to work with Cloud9 to make it useful for them.
What we learned
the amount of data that is available for each game is enormous so there's a lot of room for machine learning and predicting in order to improve the performance of the esports teams.
What's next for Gamerplug
we are looking to partner with esports teams and provide the software. We would love if Cloud9 was our first customer.
