Interest Finder

Inspiration

We were inspired by similar apps like UD Connect that gave students opportunities to meet other people.

What it does

It sends users the distance to other users with similar interests.

How we built it

We used a virtual environment primarily with HTML, Javascript, and some usage of Python with Flask.

Challenges we ran into

We had virtually no experience with creating web addresses or working with file exporting between JSON and Python files. This forced us to limit the initial scope of the project.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am somewhat satisfied that we were able to create a working web address from the little experience we had.

What we learned

We gained experience with using web development tools and accessing/processing data with JavaScript.

What's next for Interest Finder

Displaying locations of other users on a map for others to view on a map.
