Inspiration

Meet Ramika. He is:

  • Flooded by 500 emails from recruiters, spam emails, and other random items
  • Hundreds of connections he is struggling to track
  • Overwhelmed and unsure how to track and visualize all his information

What it does

Introducing Nodeify. When inboxes grow and networks expand, it becomes harder to tell which connections actually matter. Important emails get buried, follow-ups are missed, and connections quietly go cold, often leading to lost opportunities that users don’t even realize they had.

This project brings everything together into a single visual connection manager that shows your network at a glance. Instead of scrolling through messages or lists, users can see people mapped visually, and quickly filter to focus on the conversations that deserve attention now. By surfacing important conversations and highlighting neglected connections, the app helps users act before opportunities slip away.

How we built it

We used NextJS, Snowflake, Gemini API, and Gmail API

Challenges we ran into

We ran into a lot of challenges:

  • Attacking the project solution-first, requiring us to shift to user needs partway through
  • maintaining UI consistency across different pages
  • Realizing the current LinkedIn API is essentially useless for reading user connections

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Building a full-stack web app that looks aesthetically pleasing and has a useful, intuitive, representation of connections!

What we learned

We learned that it is crucial to approach problems from the perspective of the user. Addressing the user story and experience is extremely important to understand why the problem needs to be addressed, and how it can leave a positive impact on the user.

What's next for Nodeify

Implementation and expansion of other social media profiles Enterprise LinkedIn API Analytics and Insight for HR and Organization management Calendar Visualizing friends of friends, and their relative connections of teammates compared to other users.
