Inspiration
Front desks are stuck between two bad options: insecure paper logs or invasive digital systems that hoard personal data. We wanted to create a system to offer seamless office security without compromising individual privacy.
What it does
SentinelPro is a contactless check-in system that uses Gemini AI to process visitor intent and generate operational insights. By using blind data processing, it alerts hosts and creates office traffic reports without ever storing or exposing a visitor's private identifiable information.
How we built it
We used PHP for a robust backend and Tailwind for a high-performance, responsive frontend. Gemini AI acts as our privacy-first engine, categorizing visit details into anonymous reports.
Challenges we ran into
The initial project was completely different and was a game built on ThreeJS, then PlayCanvas but we ran into problems executing with the vibe coding IDEs we initially used as the physics proved to be very buggy to refine within the timeframe. This project was a pivot given the strengths we’ve seen with Antigravity. The biggest hurdle was building the feature set in a now much shorter time window.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We successfully achieved a new MVP providing quick and easy check-ins while our dashboard provides useful AI enhanced office analytics.
What we learned
We learned that Antigravity is incredibly efficient for rapid prototyping and that AI doesn't need to "know" everything to be helpful. The architecture you choose at the beginning can make things sold or brittle very quickly so planning the project scaffolding is critical.
What's next for SentinelPro
We plan to implement OCR ID Scanning to auto-verify guests. Additionally, build deeper API integrations with Slack, Microsoft and Google to allowing SentinelPro to integrate deeper into existing calendar workflows and notifications.
