EqLocate 1.0

EqLocate is a program that enables users to determine the location of an earthquake by selecting the P-wave arrivals of various seismograms. The package includes several practice earthquakes to use. To use the program, the user clicks on the P-wave arrivals for each station, and then guesses the epicenter. The program then displays lines from the selected epicenter to each station to help guide the user to their next pick. The RMS error is displayed at the top of the screen, and colored dots record the user's past guesses.

The EqLocate program allows you to select P-wave arrivals of a number of seismograms for an earthquake and find its location.
The package contains several earthquakes which you can use for practice. To use you click on the P-wave arrival on each station and then guess at the epicenter. You will be shown lines toward each stations from the selected epicenter which will guide you toward your next pick. The RMS error is displayed in text at the top of the screen plus colored dots will record your past guesses.
