 Google just announced Workspace Studio, and it’s a significant step forward for workplace automation. The premise is straightforward: describe the workflow you want to automate in plain English, and Workspace Studio generates an AI agent to execute it. No coding required. What sets this apart from traditional automation platforms is the intelligence layer. These agents aren’t limited to rigid rules. Powered by Gemini 3, they can reason through problems, adapt to new inputs, and navigate nuanced scenarios that previously broke automation flows. Several capabilities stand out: • Native integrations across Gmail, Drive, and Chat, along with pre-built connectors for Asana, Jira, Mailchimp, and Salesforce. • Agents can be shared across teams just like Google Drive files, enabling collective value when someone builds something useful.
