MemoryQuest AI is a semi-open-world interactive story-puzzle game built with MeDo. Players explore The Memory Nexus, a collapsing digital memory world, control a character, enter memory portals, solve puzzles, collect fragments, and interact with an AI companion named Echo.

I used MeDo to generate and iterate on the game’s UI, story flow, open-world hub, character movement, interaction system, inventory, player stats, Echo dialogue, memory fragments, and multiple endings.

The most impressive part MeDo helped create was the adaptive game state system. The game tracks player choices, Logic, Curiosity, Empathy, Courage, Chaos, Echo Trust, Memory Corruption, inventory, and unlocked fragments. These values influence the story and determine the final ending.

The goal was to show that MeDo can build more than simple web apps. It can help create polished, interactive, creative experiences with real gameplay structure.

How I used MeDo

I used MeDo as the main development tool for generating, refining, and expanding the application.

My workflow was prompt-driven and iterative:

I first asked MeDo to generate a branching story-puzzle game.
I then expanded the concept into a semi-open-world experience with a central hub called The Memory Nexus.
I prompted MeDo to add player movement, portals, interaction prompts, memory rooms, inventory, and stats.
I added Echo, an AI-style companion that gives hints and reacts to player behavior.
I refined the project with animations, corruption effects, unlockable areas, multiple endings, and demo mode.

The strongest part MeDo generated was the interactive game structure: player state, choices, memory fragments, Echo Trust, Memory Corruption, and ending logic all working together.

Best part of MeDo

The most impressive feature MeDo helped me create was the adaptive story and game state system. The game does not only display static text. It tracks the player’s choices, inventory, unlocked memory fragments, Echo Trust, Memory Corruption, and personality traits. These values affect progression, dialogue, room access, and the final ending.

This made the app feel like an actual game experience rather than a simple generated website.
