Ray is a founding researcher at Millae, where he leads the team's research program towards autonomous intelligence. Ray started Millae with a simple premise: that the best way to make progress on AI is to build a small, focused research team with no other mandate.
Ray's research background is in reinforcement learning and computer security. He was previously a senior software engineer at Meta. For his next research topic, he is exploring creativity, long-term memory and compression, mechanistic interpretability, and meta-learning.
