Scribe-Server is the backend service that makes Scribe's language data available for download. Built on regularly updating Scribe-Data datasets, it signals when new data is ready and serves it as versioned language packs to every Scribe application.

Scribe-Server is one link in a small, transparent data pipeline. Each stage has its own repository and maintainers from the Scribe community.

Wikidata & Wiktionary

Community-sourced grammar, translations and open-data lexemes, freely licensed.

Scribe-Data

Ingests and formats raw Wikidata and Wiktionary data into structured JSON or SQlite files.

Scribe-Server

Serves data packs and contracts via a REST API. These are ingested into application SQLite databases.
