    @github just flagged the account and wiped the @ITContractorsUS repo for “Hate Speech and Discrimination.” The repo contained Public Department of Labor LCA data and Employer contact info so American IT workers could go direct to client and skip the body shops. It had data

    throwback to 2023-2025 when I was an avid supporter of the mainstream industry standard git hosting provider I have tasted freedom and good uptime and now I don't want to go back

    To break away from github, start by using git over ssh. Reliance on http means you're essentially vendor-locked. Create an ssh key, add it to github, and authenticate over ssh. Clone a repo with ssh or update your git remote(s) to use an ssh identifier. Start signing commits
