    I've updated my 5 year old Polyhedra Explorer pet project from Kotlin 1.5 with WebGL and KotlinJS React frontend to Kotlin 2.4 with Compose Web and Wasm. All migration done by 5.6 Sol in 2 hours with a single prompt. 2x speed up as a result due to JS->Wasm transition. ⬇️

    Around 3 in every 1,000 commercial flights perform a go-around instead of landing on the first attempt. I’ve flown roughly 1,000 times and have only experienced one. Slightly below average, but nothing statistically remarkable. Perhaps I’ve been mostly flying in good weather.

    My main gripe with std::hive is its name. The implementation ideas behind it aren’t new. Chunked/segmented storage has been around for ages and shows up in plenty of high-performance systems. Standardizing it is great, but the name oversells the novelty.

    std::hive is my new favourite data structure in C++26. Aka a linked list of fixed-size arrays. It provides better cache locality than std::list but faster insert and erase than std::vector.
